Why it matters

Feel the difference, every day.

A more comfortable home
Modern sealed units and properly installed frames cut down on the cold spots and draftiness that older single- or double-pane windows are prone to, especially near the glass edge and frame.
More usable daylight
The right style and sightlines make the most of your available daylight. Explore picture, bay and other window options to suit the opening.
Fewer drafts, less noise
Multiple layers of weatherstripping, warm-edge spacers, and tight fusion-welded frame corners reduce both air infiltration and the amount of outside noise that reaches the inside of your home.
Less wasted heating and cooling
Windows and doors are one of the largest sources of heat loss in a typical home; upgrading them is one of the ways Natural Resources Canada recommends improving whole-home comfort and efficiency.

Compare the energy ratings of your selected window. Performance depends on the complete unit, coating, gas fill and installation.

Sealed glass panesSeparated glass panes form an insulating sealed unit. Confirm the glazing configuration for your chosen window.
  2. 02
Low-E coatingA low-emissivity coating reduces radiant heat transfer through the glass, helping control heat loss and solar gain.
  3. 03
Super Spacer® warm edgeA foam-like spacer between the panes that resists transferring temperature from glass to glass, helping reduce condensation around the edge of the window.
  4. 04
Argon fillAn insulating gas such as argon can reduce heat transfer between the panes. Ask which fill is included in your selected unit.
  5. 05
uPVC frameA multi-chambered uPVC frame, fusion-welded at the corners for an airtight, watertight seal.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do you manufacture the windows and doors you install?

Yes. GreenOn Homes manufactures its own NRG Series windows and doors and installs them with our own crews — no subcontractors and no third-party markup between the factory and your home.

Are your products ENERGY STAR certified?

Ask for the ENERGY STAR certification and energy ratings of the exact model and configuration in your quote. Ratings vary by product; confirm them before making your choice.

Are your installers insured?

Ask for current insurance and applicable WSIB documentation, along with the installation arrangements for your project, before work begins.

What warranty comes with my windows or doors?

Warranty terms vary by product line. Ask your GreenOn Homes representative for the exact written warranty that applies to the specific windows or doors in your quote before you sign anything.

Should I do a full replacement or a retrofit?

It depends on the condition of your existing frame and trim. A full replacement removes the entire frame and sash and makes sense if there's frame damage or you want a bigger efficiency upgrade. A retrofit reuses your existing frame and trim and is a more economical option when they're still in good shape. A GreenOn Homes advisor can walk you through which one fits your home.

Do you offer financing?

Ask about the payment options currently available for your project. Confirm the provider, eligibility, interest and full terms before making a decision.

What areas do you serve?

We serve selected communities across Southern Ontario. See the full list of cities on our Contact page, or ask us to confirm coverage for your specific address.
